Hey guys! I'm back again but with a fresh new topic to discuss over. Fashion has always been a huge interest of mine. Preferably, fall fashion. Anywhere from your flowy beige sweater, all the way down to your ripped up baggy boyfriend jeans. And yes, ripped is still in. Ever since I could remember I've always been fascinated with people's closets. The reason for that is because I believe everyone shares their own unique sense of style. For example; my sisters closet is more contemporary fashion where so my mom's closet is more sophisticated. My closet has always been mixed up because I don't find myself having just one style. My style can go anywhere from sassy sheek, but can still maintain a largely trendy uptown style. My love for fashion increased when I started working at Urban. I guess it wasn't so great that I would continuously spend my entire pay check on everything in the store, but it was worth it for me because I would always receive complements. It made me feel like other people were actually interested in my style so I tried to give other's advice on where to shop. After working at Urban for a year I decided to move on to another store. Two months later I started to work at Bloomingdale's and that's when I literally went crazy.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bloomingdale's is so diverse because it brings so many brands to the table. Not only does the store provide makeup essentials, bedding, and fragrances, it offers an entire floor dedicated just for designer brands. From working in a little store that didn't have much to choose from, to now working in a huge department store that has anything and everything to choose from has been a whirl wind change for the better. I gained a lot of knowledge in fashion and I do believe I excelled professionally with doing so. My interests in fashion and style certainly tie together with my professional life. Not only am I selling clothing, I am also building relationships with my clients. As a sales professional my primary focus is providing excellent customer service as well as sharing my true style with other clients. Sharing fashion is not just my interest, it's my job. My goal with spreading my interests is to not only share it on this blog, but to eventually send out a message that anyone can break out from their shell so they too can share their own style with the world! Thanks for reading! πππππππ

Event Planning In the Corporate world π
Corporate communications is more than just marketing, finance, and operations. it's creating relations with people and most importantly building trust among your partners as well as your audience. Corporate Communications plays an essential factor in the organizational world. From media relations, to crisis communication, all of these terms are extremely crustal to understand in the Corporate world. So, this leads me into my topic question of the day, how does corporate communications go hand and hand with event planning? Well, event planning is all about building relationships with clients! Although that sounds hard to do, it takes time for you to earn your credibility in this competitive field. You have to start off small to get into something much bigger than you are.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Planning events has it's fair share of social media. Starting your own webpage can earn your trust with other clients. Nowadays, everyone looks up everything on social media to make sure an organization or product is legit. Advertisement is key to success so make sure you create a brand for yourself. In this field you will be faced in many crisis's. Not everything is going to go as planned and that's when crisis communications steps in. Every plan should have a back up plan and that's what I've learned in the corporate world. In planning event's, you can have a bride missing her dress, or a DJ running an hour late, but that's our job behind the scenes to have everything under control even though it might be falling apart. There will always be a possibility of something going wrong but that's okay because we are trained to establish a plan B. So there you have it; event planning isn't just rainbows and sunshine, it's demanding, competitive, stressful, and ruthless. But over-all, rewarding. Until next time guys! Here's a little video at the bottom of someone who inspired me to choose this path.

My professional passion. The story behind it allπ°
I'm back again with another interesting topic that plays a huge roll into my professional life; event planning. As a young child, I always wanted to work in a field that had a lot to do with making others feel special, but I never knew what that meant exactly. I was never good at math or science so I defiantly knew I didn't want to be in the medical field. But then on August 15th, 2013 my sister asked me to be her maid of honor. That very moment I knew I had some huge shoes to fill. I remember helping her pick out the flowers, bride maid's dresses, save the date cards, center pieces, and even her wedding dress. Every major decision came down on me but that never stressed me out a bit. As the wedding date approached we still couldn't figure out a revenue so panic clearly started to sink in. I distinctively remember being up for two nights in a row trying to research a destination for my sister. Finally, I came across an article of a couple who had their wedding in Dominican Republic and thought to myself that this would be the perfect wedding/vacation. I gathered all my hard research and shared it with my family including my sister. Everyone was on board with my idea, and I couldn't have been prouder of myself. on April 4th, 2014 my sister became Mrs. Kurscher. After the wedding I didn't know what to do with myself. For the last nine months my life was revolving around this wedding and for some reason I didn't want it to stop. I finally had a moment where I knew exactly what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Not just with weddings, but with any event. Event planning is a tough career to take on but I believe I have the drive to do it. I hope to one day explore different internships so I can land my dream job. This has been my passion for a while, but I never knew it until after my sister's wedding. Thanks guy's for reading my blog; until next time!

Food for thought. Blog 2 π±
Hey guys! Since my last blog I talked about my families cultural foods, now I want to get more into other cultural delicious dishes. Indian cuisine also has my foodie heart. Anywhere from your simple Kofta meal, to your spicy and sizzling Biryani dish. These two are on the top of my list. Let's first talk about the ingredients for making Kofta. Kofta is made with gram flour, veggies that are rolled into a ball gram flour, and a little bit of fried oil. On top of these ingredients you finish the dish off with some sweet curry. This dish is extremely popular in the Indian culture and is a beautiful recipe to make for any occasion! Whats interesting about this dish is that it's actually not as spicy as any other Indian dish which brings me to my next cuisine, Biryani. So, if you're that type of person who does not like the taste of anything spicy, I highly advise you not to eat it! Biryani is made with basmati flakey rice, Indian spices, vegetables, meat, eggs, yogurt, and mixed dried fruits. Unlike Kofta, this food is typically served at events such as weddings, holiday's, birthday parties, and Ramadan. What makes this meal so unique is the butter usage. The butter is slowly melted so that the milk solids and golden liquid have been separated and can be used in place of vegetable oil. By doing this, it gives this cuisine number one on my list for it's interesting authentic taste. I know I have been talking about dinner dishes but I do want to mention one Indian desert that is absolutely out of this world that is called, Jalebi. This desert is made with sugar, syrup, and deep fried maida flour. Jalebi has a very similar look to thin crust pretzels but instead they have a sweet honey taste to them. This delicious crispy dish could be eaten hot or cold, so with any weather this famous dish could be served in any degree! Thanks for reading; until next time!

Food for thought. Blog 1 π
Hey ya'll. To get my blog rolling I wanted to first talk about my favorite topic in the entire world; food. Yes, mouth watering, tasteful, scrumptious food. Anywhere from an Italian dish full of linguine and cajun shrimp to a more traditional Indian cuisine. For me food isn't just food, it's a culture. Every culture has it's own recipe. Without food their wouldn't be human, animals, or man kind. So to me food isn't just your regular cup of noodle soup, it's a home cooked meal you smell when you first enter your house hold. I wanted to share with you guys my culture for food first. I come from a Russian background so that mean's bliny, caviar, shashlic, golobsy, and pelmeni on a daily. These five traditional Russian dishes are very delicious despite their foreign names. The first food I will be talking about would be the bliny. Bliny is an extremely simple dish. it's basically just thin crispy pancakes. In my tradition, we usually just soak them in honey which gives them a sweet tender taste. Usually I go over board and sprinkle them with light cinnamon, which I totally recommend for everyone to try. My next dish is caviar. Caviar is also simple which is considered more to be a side dish. Caviar is basically just fish eggs. We use caviar for pretty much anything including on top of toast. Golobsy is more complex to cook. It's made out of cabbage as well as leaves wrapped around any fillings that you can choose from. My family fills golobsy with beef and vegetables, however, you can choose any ingredient of your own choice. It's a little bit hard to make, but it's so worth the struggle! Shashlic is the most common dish in the Russian culture. It's not only a Russian food, but many middle eastern countries do enjoy eating this dish. In america it's called chicken on a stick, but in Russia we call it shashlic. Lastly, my favorite dish of all, pelmeni. They are the best dumplings you'll ever get your hands on. Pelmeni is dough with meat inside. What makes our dumplings different is the sour cream we mix the pelmeni with. So again, these five Russian cuisines are definitely something to look into and cook with your families! On my next blog I will be focusing on other different cultural foods as well as my love for fashion and why I chose my future career. My purpose of my blogs are to not only share with you my interests, but to also give you guys a taste of Gabby's world. Thanks for reading!
