Mixing fashion with events!

The reason why I love exploring fashion so much is because of the latest trends. Every season, fashion takes it's turn for the best. My future career has a lot to do with my love for fashion. A lot of cool events that I was involved with, weather it was finding a bride her perfect venue, or finding the most beautiful flowers to go with her venue all had one thing in common; fashion. Fashion isn't just clothes, it's a life-style. Especially exploring the event planning aspect introduces a lot of us those trends. For example, I was a bridesmaid in my best friends wedding, but I also helped her plan out almost everything. She needed to know what color flowers she could have that would match the setting of her venue, as well as the jewelry. Well, why jewelry? she wanted her perfect earrings and diamond necklace to look good with her bouquet. Lastly, she wanted all the colors of the lights in the ballroom to match the brides maid dresses. I helped her make all of this come together, and if it wasn't for fashion then nothing could have worked. Matching is important in a wedding, and I personally think without it, the whole wedding could be off. Even one small detail could throw the entire look of the wedding off. People fail to realize fashion and events have an existence for each other. Event planing can be difficult if you have the wrong eye in fashion, so always know what the customer wants, and make their vision come to life.

Grammy's fashion BEST and WORST

So, I wanted to share with you guys my thoughts on the Grammy's, particularly fashion do's, and dont's. I'm all for hot fashion trends and whats in, but what grabs my attention the most are the people that really go out of their comfort zone and create a statement, whether its for the good of the grammys, or just absolutely insanity. Call me, Gabrielle the fashion police 101 because I'm here to arrest who ever should be charged for a crime when it comes to fashion. But, before I tell you my least favorite dress worn to the Grammy's, I wanted to share with you guys who my favorite was which was worn by Demi Lavato. She looked absolutely stunning in her naked sheer Julien Mccdonald dress. This dress fit her like a dime and really brought out her curvy body image. Her accessories also played a great part which was gold heels, and a ton of David Yurman jewels. I truly think Demi didn't let the dress rock her, but she let herself rock this dress. Now, I want to discuss my fashion not so favorite. This one really gave me the chills, because I really do love this star as an entertainer, but she really ran with this one. I do love Katy Perry, but not this time around. Her awful metallic dress made by designer Jamie Mizrahi was pretty forgettable as she disappeared in it. This dress has a beautiful campaign color, but ruins it with the metallic fabric and the un-fitted feathers towards the bottom. I give this dress a D- in my book. Thanks for reading guys, hopefully I won't have anymore Grammy fashion melt downs until next time! 👍👎

Researching with internships!

Hey guys! I wanted to discuss with you guys a little bit of my journey with starting to come together for places I can internship for! I’ve already done a little bit of my own research on the location that I am very interested in. It might seem far fetch, but I would love to land a job in Charleston, North Carolina. Believe it or not, Charleston is known for big event organizations, specifically weddings. As I searched online I came across a company called “Fox Events,” and thought that this organization suits my personality fabulously. They focus primarily on weddings but they do of course organize events for birthdays, cocktail hours, gala’s, and meetings. I loved the fact that they are known for their southern sophistication as well as their wild spirit of nature. Lauren, who is the owner of this organization, really struck a chord with me. She explains in her Bio about how she has organized many of her family members weddings which brought me back in time with me planning out my sister’s wedding. This topic hit home for me and I’m sure whatever inspired her to start this organization, also inspired me to join it. What I also love about this firm is that there are all women working for Fox Events. It makes me feel one hundred percent at ease and ready to jump in at full force. I do realize that Charleston could be un-realistic with the traveling aspect, so I had to also do my research on event planning firms here in the Philadelphia region. What I came across was an agency called Ebetalent that is not as conservative as Foxevents. Ebe throws events for weddings, mitsvah’s, and live band show cases. What makes this event different from Foxevents is that they have djs partnered up with this organization, as well as videographers. I think this organization will go good with my life style because it is located just fifteen minutes away from my current location, and it has many media partners with radio stations that I listen too. I think both of these firms are great, but it’s just a matter of picking which one makes more sense for me to intern for. In the next two years I want to do more research on both of these companies, and apply to the one I can really relate to the most. After the two years, I would hope to graduate and already be working for one of these companies.

When in France...

So, let's talk about French food. French food is absolute magnefic, as the French would say! France is known for their Eiffel tower located in the heart of Paris, and they are also known for their romanticism, and fine wines. But, the only thing is missing is their mouth watering gourmet foods! One food in particular struck a chord with me, because of how popular is is in the U.S. We practically copied Frances famous french onion soup! This is my favorite dish and I did not know it originated back to France. The french onion soup is actually called "Soupe a l'oignon." This soup is made with sweet caramelized onions, some tender meat stock, and some vegetable greens. This soup is a fantastic side dish and I recommend it for any meal. The next dish I will be introducing you guys to is called "beef bourguignon." This meal is super famous and is most likely on every menu if you decide to go out to eat anywhere in the towns of France! Bourguignon is made with, of course beef, pearl onions, vegetables such as mushrooms and carrots, sprinkled with green herbs. What gives this dish an authentic France taste is the red wine the beef broth is soaked in. So, if you are 21 years old and up, I suggest you to dig in. The last dish is my favorite because I order this all the time for desert, my favorite, Flamiche. This tastey puff-pastery has a soft cream filling on the inside; almost like the inside of a Boston cream doughnut. Flamiche is internationally popular and I highly suggest everyone to try it at least once in their life. Thanks guys for reading some of Frances yummy foods and stay tuned to my next blog for some more scrumptious meals from around the world. On the Bottom of my page I have a picture of some delicious beef bourguignon.

Hong Kong meals 🍤🍤

Hey guys I'm back again with my favorite topic, food! I didn't forget about you foodie lovers out there so that's why I thought it was only appropriate to talk about some Asian cuisine. When I traveled to Hong Kong two summers ago I tried some of the most delicious foods. I really wanted to bring some of the culture back with me to the states so I bought a cook book from a local shop on Albany Road. I learned some of the greatest recipe's which led me to share with you guys what exactly I cooked. My top two favorite dishes are shrimp and chicken balls and wind sand chicken. Chicken balls are the best of the best tastiest balls you will ever get your hands on. They are made from chopped chicken and shrimp that are stirred into a ball. After creating your perfect balls you should sprinkle some bread crumbs on them so they can have that tastey bready flavor. After putting the bread crumbs on you must throw the balls into a pot and set the pot to a medium heat temperature and start to deep fry them until they maintain the perfect crisp. To top it off put a little bit of sweet and sour sauce and let it sit in the pot for a couple of minutes until it looks like a good golden brown look. Wala! You have your perfect chicken shrimp balls. My next dish is called "wind sand chicken." The reason why the name of this meal is called sand chicken is because of the authentic look it portrays that has almost a similar visual to a real life sandstorm. This dish is basically deep fried chicken that has garlic bit powder on top that gives its cool look to a sandy beach. To garnish this meal you top it off with paprika or chili powder. Once your done, you can dip this crispy chicken in some sweet and sour garlic sauce, And there you have it, some great garlic Asian chicken. I'm happy I shared these two delectable dishes with you guys and I'm excited to continue my journey with ya'll later this week. Thanks for reading!

Here is a better look on how to make the chicken and shrimps balls!

Exploring fashion by using the web 👍

Fashion in the last fifteen years has changed drastically. Instead of shopping for your next outfit in person, you can do the work online with just one click of a button. Yes, I know what you might be thinking, "how am I supposed to try them on?".. We'll you don't, you just pray to god that everything is your size. At least you have me to give you the best insider guide to what to pick when shopping online for your next outfit. I want to briefly talk about three websites that has inspired the way I shop and has also influenced my sense of style. Fashionnova.com is on the top of my list. I have been an active member on this website since 2014 and there hasn't been one dull moment. All the clothes range from 15-40 bucks and it makes shopping super affordable. They have jeans, jeggings, sweaters, pants, and even accessories. What I love about this website is the shipment process; everything arrives within 3-5 days! So, if you're in any rush for some kind of an event and desperately need your outfit on time, fashionova is the place to go. Another great part about this website is that they offer plus size clothes as well. The next website I wanted to talk about is JustFab.com. JustFab is great if you're only looking for shoes. They offer long boots, booties, heels, and pretty much any type of shoe you can think of. I have been a member of this website since 2013 and have only returned two pairs of boots. The great part about this website is that if you are a new member you receive any pair of shoes with your choice 50% off coupon! I love the different shoe variety, and the consistency of them updating their website. It's a great website for any season of shoes, and I would highly recommend it for you shoe lovers out there. One last website I wanted to share with you guys is a website that is some what brand new but has also created a fashion statement for themselves, it's called glamenvy.com. This website is fairly expensive but it's worth it. Since 2015 I have already purchased 14 dresses and every single one of them has been great material and completely fits like a dime. Even though you will be spending anywhere from 30-70 bucks, you won't be feeling sorry for yourself when you look the best at any event/occasion. So there you have it, websites can be tricky at times especially when your new to the game. I hope sharing my top three websites with you can inspire you guys to also order something and not feel afraid while doing so. Thanks for reading!
