I'm back again with another interesting topic that plays a huge roll into my professional life; event planning. As a young child, I always wanted to work in a field that had a lot to do with making others feel special, but I never knew what that meant exactly. I was never good at math or science so I defiantly knew I didn't want to be in the medical field. But then on August 15th, 2013 my sister asked me to be her maid of honor. That very moment I knew I had some huge shoes to fill. I remember helping her pick out the flowers, bride maid's dresses, save the date cards, center pieces, and even her wedding dress. Every major decision came down on me but that never stressed me out a bit. As the wedding date approached we still couldn't figure out a revenue so panic clearly started to sink in. I distinctively remember being up for two nights in a row trying to research a destination for my sister. Finally, I came across an article of a couple who had their wedding in Dominican Republic and thought to myself that this would be the perfect wedding/vacation. I gathered all my hard research and shared it with my family including my sister. Everyone was on board with my idea, and I couldn't have been prouder of myself. on April 4th, 2014 my sister became Mrs. Kurscher. After the wedding I didn't know what to do with myself. For the last nine months my life was revolving around this wedding and for some reason I didn't want it to stop. I finally had a moment where I knew exactly what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Not just with weddings, but with any event. Event planning is a tough career to take on but I believe I have the drive to do it. I hope to one day explore different internships so I can land my dream job. This has been my passion for a while, but I never knew it until after my sister's wedding. Thanks guy's for reading my blog; until next time!
Here is a blog article about a couple who also had their wedding in a tropical location!
